When investors ask you questions about your company, don't begin with "so." It's a tell that you're about to emit prefabricated sentences, and those never hold the other person's attention like actual conversation.
In practice, more often it means "I'm going to pretend your question was one that I have a prepared answer for." But even if you have a prepared answer for their exact question, it will be more engaging if it seems spontaneous.

It is a tell of rehearsal in my experience. Being relaxed enough to think and answer spontaneously shows a confidence in the subject matter, As though you analyze the question in relation to established principles
