Thx for reply, sorry if I'm misunderstanding. Seems to me saving time for individuals is still socially valuable. If your pt is fast travel for individuals tends to be socially harmful for other reasons (enviro costs etc), agree maybe should discourage, but not bc fast per se (?)

Your statement is ambiguous because it’s unclear to the reader whether you think there are other factors outside of individual travel which warrant higher prioritization.

Cities should be designed to prioritize efficient mass transit into, out of, and around the city. In a city like San Francisco — which only has four subway stops downtown and an inconvenient rail system in Caltrain — it seems rather odd to focus on individual travel.
