I think in 2019 we'll see the end of a basically uniformly liberal Silicon Valley. There have always been a lot of quiet conservatives / libertarians in tech, but this year it seems like they're starting to come out, mainly in reaction to the movement AOC represents.
Though fairly uniform on social issues, SV has never been uniform on economic ones. As long as Democrats vs Republicans was mainly about social issues, SV uniformly supported the Democrats.

But that support would split or even flip if the Democrats became the party of high taxes and big government. SV has a lot of libertarians. (Not coincidentally; startup founders and bureaucrats are diametric opposites.)

Totally agree. I perhaps should have said “outwardly uniformly liberal” because i definitely agree that there have always been a lot of libertarians here, but they’ve been pretty quiet for awhile. Now, for the reasons you pointed out, they have cause to speak up.
