I find it’s still (just) possible to: A) Think clearly on hard topics. B) Speak & write plainly. C) Avoid being tortured while having one’s reputation deliberately destroyed by the media’s bad actors. The best manage 2 / 3. I haven’t seen anyone do all 3 in the modern era.
