I used to think as an entrepreneur everything I’d got I’d earned. More recently I’ve realized there was a huge amount of infrastructure set up for me to make it (educated workforce, execs, the internet) and I really controlled a much smaller % of the outcome than I’d thought.

i guess paul's response was because the question was "versus a random person". not even a random person who speaks one of the primary languages of commerce, or a random person who is online, or a random person who owns a computer.. a lot of the world is still low tech
Actually I unthinkingly interpreted it as random person in the US.

With access to US employees, infrastructure, and customers. Placing a premium on Justin or Patrick’s inputs over a rando is obviously correct, but also totally misses the larger point
