New book stores as well. I've been watching the philosophy section at B&N shrink over the years as encroachments from Metaphysics and the like eat up shelf real estate.

I think it's more an effect of (a.) Usually, those are three smaller book sections and (b.) all three topics are in the lower Dewey decimal numbers, so booksellers are used to seeing them together in libraries. My local puts philosophy next to Mathematics.

Dewey decimal class 100 is philosophy and mythology 200 is religion.
