Sure, I meant "that's the definition of socialism" in the sense of "that follows from the definition." If confusing → with ≡ is the best people can do by way of refutation, I think we can consider my overall argument proved, at least with respect to those people.
I appreciate the idea, Paul, but my claim was that your argument is a classic red herring. Inventing a hypothetical contrary to fact doesn’t prove your argument, however great that hypothetical would be.
We have had politicians pushing libertarianism who contribute to the debate, but don’t get much of their ethos. What’s wrong with the aspiration to socialism in that same debate? She won’t get everything (or much of) her aspiration.’n
