This looks like Breezewood, a stop on the PA turnpike near where I grew up. I did gradually start to "see an issue." When I was 10, though, I just thought "McDonalds!" https://twitter.com/snus_kin/status/1096686504900988928 …

What is the issue tho, really? I'm trying to understand. Someone asked on the original tweet but didn't receive an answer.

He's saying he's surprised that people are willing to live in such an ugly place. By most standards Breezewood is pretty ugly. It's basically a giant truck stop. It was sort of exciting though, at least to a kid.

Is that the reason? Doesn't make much sense because according to his statements all of US places are truck stop places? Still, even as a truck stop place, it's better than a desert.

I doubt he realized it was a truck stop. But to be fair to him, huge numbers of towns in America, maybe most towns, look more or less like this. Pick a random town in the middle of the country and zoom in with Google and you can see for yourself.

If self driving trucks take over as is being suggested, I wonder what will happen to all these spots around the country, and the companies that feed and fuel the trucks and truckers

I agree these towns are horribly ugly and that has a detrimental effect of civic life. But I grew up in Iowa and the small towns there do not look like this except for the few on major thoroughfares. Those towns were once actually quite pretty.

TBH I'm still trying to figure out "his" agenda. The bio says "Russian girl", their location is in England, and the web page is of some random guy. Looks like a troll to me.
