I don't love this idea of "moving the Overton window" as an achievement. It sounds so hypocritical. When Trump says extreme things, he's an asshole, but when we do it, we're moving the Overton window? Wouldn't it be better just not to do it?

Moving the Overton window has real policy impact. Just ask any immigrant, trans person in the military or anyone who recently did their taxes. If the goal is to move the needle from government by bigotry & plutocracy then the first step is getting people to imagine that change.
