"Be a founder" is for would-be VCs what "Learn to code" is for would-be founders. Advice that's both straightforward and guaranteed to be worth the effort, yet many shrink from because of the work involved.
That's true. He's from the older generation, where starting a startup was way less common. But I think he'd start one if he were young now.
