Likes have a sharper spike than they used to. Twitter must be predicting what people will like and showing it to them. But only till there's something else to show them. Which means from the consumer's POV, Twitter has sped up.

Worth mentioning that Likes and Replies are effectively Retweets now. They started showing “[Friend] liked (or replied to) [unconnected tweet]” in your main feed. Rendered no different than a retweet. This have enormous unintentional impact on the ecosystem.pic.twitter.com/qvHoxdMjic
