The founders were unusually intense. They were 2/3 designers. They had done the craziest stuff to make money that I'd heard of. They had worked on the company for an unusually long time with no growth. They seemed physically run down.

Basically, they seemed the exact opposite of a couple Google engineers who had an idea for a startup but hadn't quit Google yet.
