Likes have a sharper spike than they used to. Twitter must be predicting what people will like and showing it to them. But only till there's something else to show them. Which means from the consumer's POV, Twitter has sped up.

Or maybe its just because of very pretty shimmer effect on pressing the like button they recently added. At least it works for me.

For me it's more of coming back to Twitter after my Facebook wall just got contaminated to a point of no return. Facebook imposes a social pressure to 'accept' friend requests if I've ever met that person. Twitter lets me hear only from people I really want to hear.

I find that people who I’ve unfollowed get liked by someone else I follow which indirectly suggests that Twitter wants me to follow them again. Agree?
