I admire your willingness to attempt to persuade with factual arguments, but this game is all about appealing to emotions. It's been my experience that "a pound of facts equal an ounce of emotions," but it's difficult for me to complain, because I've based my career on it.
Thanks, but it's not as futile as it seems. I'm not running for office, so I don't need to rack up numbers. I'm writing for thoughtful people. That conversation happens on Twitter in parallel with a lot of shouting, which is unfortunate, but it does happen.

21% corporate tax rate. It sure feels like war on people earning salary. Yeah I know. Simplistic view about a complex issue. But only way to have a healthy society is progressive taxation. Where you draw the line on rates is the question.
Yeah it's always unfortunate when people won't just die quietly so they don't disturb the intellectuals.
