Which point is that? That there's a real policy issue and it's not class warfare? Can we agree that this a real discussion and the current tax system is not "fair" and discussing changes is a good thing?
Obviously not all talk about tax policy is class war, any more than all talk about immigration policy is culture war. But recently both have taken that turn. Which was the whole point of my original tweet.
I still don't see it... to me class war is what has happened in some South American countries. @AOC pushing messages into the debate about high marginal rats is the opposite of that.
As a society we have been quite indoctrinated into 'trickle down' economics and it's treated as gospel truth. Any proposal to challenge that leads to quite a resistance ..
Don’t totally disagree but we have to start talking about higher tax brackets and new income streams. There’s some fat in the military but cuts to gov expenditure won’t be enough.
