When you meet people who don't use Twitter, do you tell them they should try it out, or do you say "You're so lucky. Don't start!"

I'm quite happy in my Twitter experience I just get to follow the people I want to follow, I mostly use them as proxies to be informed about the topics I'm interested in

I’m not sure how popular accounts handle it. I get few likes/retweets. I recently made a comment on an AOC tweet that’s now at 600+ likes. My notifications are flooded with those and real replies are lost. Multiply over all tweets and it must be crazy.

I would imagine it’s both. It’s probably nice to be able to think something and within moments have
@codinghorror reply. But I also imagine you have to deal with a lot more noise, some of it extremely unpleasant. -
It is both. But so much magic in my life has happened that I will take the bad any day.

I don't feel that human interactions really scale in any meaningful sense. You can't "talk" to 10,000 people or even 1,000 people in a day .. much less understand where they're coming from

Any meeting with more than 4 people should be a presentation, not a meeting
