To lecture someone on morality is implicitly to assume moral superiority over them. Adults do this to children, but not (unless they are clergy) to other adults.

Sound & logical, yet mysteriously unconvincing. If one can determine for themselves their knowledge in statistical terms over population, why others can't do the same. Out of curiosity, who knows morality or (the much broader) how to live to be in position to lecture others?
