White evangelical voters overwhelming supported and enabled Steve King, Roy Moore, Donald Trump, Cindy Hyde-Smith, etc. So let’s dispense with idea these voters care about morality or integrity.

He didn’t say they don’t have integrity. He said they, as voters, don’t care about the morality and integrity of the people for whom they vote. Why distort and quibble?

We know the opposing candidates in many of these races. The white supremacist ideology, and in the case of Roy Moore, pedophilia —- should have been disqualifying. That one could cast a ballot for them... while often purporting to represent “family values”, should be concerning

White evangelical voter is just a euphemism for "one issue voter - bigotry". As long as the candidate targets LGBTQ, immigrants, women, blacks, etc they support the candidates. There are other single issue GOP voters like the socially liberal, fiscal conservative (aka tax cuts).

There would certainly seem to be an intersection between "evangelical" and "gullible" though. Also, when someone believes something enough, it's very difficult to back down from that, so anyone who supports your belief is going to win your vote.
