I've got my concerns about the kind of people who are and will be in charge of everything in China, too. The problems with the people who are in charge of everything are pretty universal.

It greatly varies in intensity. Northern Europe, Switzerland, have greater trust and overall deserve a lot of that trust. That explains why government there has been able to set up socialist programs like high minimum wage, universal healthcare, long parental leave.

There is a middle. Some social programs without going whole-hog for a total socialist system of Government. The way you phrase it is one of fear, not clear thinking of options that may work better than what is in existence today. Medicare for All is one such social change.
