I find it useful, in such cases, to visualize alternatives. I may not come up with a better solution, but the process has me more accepting of things as they are. h/t Churchill, for: "Democracy is the worst form of government, except for all the other forms that've been tried."
Writing with lots of sidebars seems more accessible, but is actually harder to understand. It turns ideas into a deck of cards, which it then shuffles.
