I have a good monitor and yet when I print things out and read them on paper, I always discover flaws I'd overlooked on the screen. This happens with both writing and code. Is paper better, or merely different?

Well, It indeed was superior to the peasants but inferior to the nobles who were literate and powerful. Money, power, asymmetric knowledge all have been interesting interoperable currency and remain to be. Some books (religion) helped control groups. Some books made groups rebel.
