I don't understand why you'd want either. Is it to appeal to LPs? Surely not to generate optimal returns.

Our fund is focused on RetailTech startups. We think it gives us a better insight on the market's needs and an actionable network of sales prospects and potential acquirers. This in turn improves our relation with founders. Granted it doesn't help much on founders quality.
