I would be so excited to read an investor update where "we've achieved product-market fit" was followed by "now we're going to put our heads down and just grow" instead of "now we're going to spend months trying to raise money."

What if raising money is easier than growing after market fit?

YC startups are in SV modality a big element of which is a propensity to raise money. The path of organic growth post product/market fit is one taken more often in the rest of the world. Investors are fewer and far between Valuations lower And organic growth more acceptable

And the issue is that raising more money is seen as a sign of success more than growth.... I've had investors complain that they don't see us raising another round, because just growing with what we had was not fast enough....

To be fair PG your tweet says "an investor update", not "more investor updates" which would probably be more accurate. Your word choice leaves much up to interpretation. What actual percentage of updates you see are head down growth vs raising capital?
