It seems once a founder has built one idea to "unicorn" status then raisingfunds for their second idea is quite easy. Obviously the idea has to have merit to be successful but getting the funds seems less of an issue, that's gotta help

It’s a little bit easier when you haven’t even launched and you already have 10 million in funding. Of course I give him a lot of credit for building Fb. Well deserved, but let’s accept he had an advantage.

A single startup can be sufficient evidence if it grows big enough. A really successful startup represents many decision points. E.g. you could argue luck got Zuck to a million users, but the odds of it having gotten him where he is now is 1/2^n for pretty large n.

Furthermore,
@moskov and Justin have demonstrated that large network effects businesses can be built without hyper-exploitation or hyper-engagement of users. Asana is a pioneer in calm tech. It will be interesting to see how much more resilient this low-pressure approach will be.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

Don’t miss the point that
@paulg is making here. Persistence will best luck anyday. If you’re holding drive AFTER an exit, you probably had it long before and it isn’t going away. . .Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
