But if we look at
@Facebook, they talk of a philosophy of doing good while pushing internally for more engagement/revenue "at any cost". They don't want to believe they're doing bad, so they 1st lie to self then lie to public - 1 more reply

We need new laws.

Laws don’t cut it. Fundamental education needs to be upgraded. We educate our children in an industrial based framework while society has evolved way faster.

What is difference between retention and engagement?
-
Retention = Getting people to login Engagement = What they do after they login
-
So if they login and don't use any features that is retention?
-
If you get someone to login and he/she leaves after one page view (bounce rate) and very little time on site (TOS), then I wouldn’t consider that an engaged user. So you can have high retention with low engagement. Everyone has unique metrics considering their business

The first mistake is letting another company define your successful engagement metric

-
.... Also remove your own team's engagement as a data points... your own employees/testers with different IP address are lies :)
