Finding a neutral-sounding "voter verification" policy that disenfranchises likely Democratic voters is the Republicans' version of p-hacking.

I am so furious about this (among other things), trying hard to stay positive but these tactics they have just give you such a feeling that everything is rigged and hopeless

But I agree with @craftyc0der that we do need credible voting. It is frustrating to hear about criminals and dead people on the voting roles, even though that hasn’t shown itself to be an issue. Gerrymandering is an issue worth solving though. It saddens me to see district maps.

I'd love to see gerrymandering replaced with an algorithm that just minimizes district border length while equalizing population.

I do not doubt the complexity of the problem of making the process procedural. It is hard for me to imagine that gerrymandering is the superior solution however. It is the credibility of the outcome of the vote that is all important. #DontLetPerfectionBeTheEnemyOfTheGood

Gerrymandering is the problem, not the solution. The solutions are algorithmic redistricting or PR.

The honor system is insufficient to maintain trust in the legitimacy of democracy. With tens of millions of adults living in America who aren't supposed to vote, what method would Democrats suggest to ensure they don't?

I’m a conservative and as I’ve learned more about this it just comes down to the fact that this isn’t a wide-spread problem. There’s no data suggesting that any voter fraud has ever contributed in any meaningful way to an election.

This is where a blockchain solution comes into play. Impossible to defraud. Also would introduce a viable option for mobile voting.

Why blockchains don’t solve the voting problem. Part 1/833837 Large-scale voting requires a number of complicated properties. People need to be assured that their vote will be accurately recorded and counted. But votes also have to remain secret.

It is critical, particularly when the nation is divided, that everyone believes that the vote is credible. If you believe in the principals the Democrats espouse, and this will validate them when they win, isn't it a good thing?
