When warning my 9 yo son about how Youtube works, I found that the most concise way to describe Google to him was "an evil monopoly." That was a surprise. I've always been a Google fan. But there was no other way to describe Youtube.

Msft was evil to other companies. YouTube puts profits above society. I’ll watch an innocent video about flowers and the next is some conspiracy theory and pretty soon it’s Alex jones or some anti vaccine nutbag who I’ll never watch.
