        Did you read the version that was actually voted? It changed significantly from the original draft, after long discussions with all parties involved. There's something to be said for a Parliament that isn't held captive by partisan barricades...

        they didnt pass any laws at the EU. the process is a little more complicated. they will try to created laws now based on a report that could turn into law if it passes the vote again!

        and i also think that it is somewhat unlikely that it will actually turn into a functioning law because they want platforms to basically use something like ContentID without using ContentID or any other automated process. that doesnt mean that this cant happen unfortunately.
