Unsure how I feel about Resi 7 getting the Golden Joystick for Best VR Game. Don't get me wrong i'm super happy for the recipients, it's a good game and I appreciate what it has done for mainstream VR adoption. 1/2

Suggests to me we're not quite managing to shine a light on the great VR focussed content out there. At least in the eyes of the public (who vote in this case). That said I'm pleased we have a VR category. 2/2

I guess the early adopters are happy to try out new IP and mechanics whereas to go mainstream need a big IP to win them over?

Definitely, I'd like to see more support for lesser known content, but it's a metrics game. Skyrim seems to be doing a job, but that's a similar story. I'd like to see bigger game sites get behind the Lone Echoes, Arktika 1's, Loco Dojo's etc where we have genuine innovation.

They did for a while (2014-16) but it’s all about the clicks and if readers weren’t reading (clicking the headlines) the vr articles, why continue?
