Watching my girls play games over the last few years and today, I get the feeling we really need to design for younger gamers more.

Games have matured a lot and in doing so have left younger gamers behind a little.
Exactly this, which brings it's own problems, like a generation not giving a fuck. Its why Nintendo matter so much.

agree entirely. Ninty needs to broaden it's appeal significantly with Switch, but I reckon they'll get there.
