iMac had a serious hardware failure. Along with a duff backlight that £2500 for 2.5 years seems like a bad investment. £600 PC went 6 years!

@FreakyZoid I got it from Square who are an Apple approved dealer. Got to call them tomorrow. I didn't buy Apple Care so I'm not hopeful.

@paulcolls you would reasonably expect a £2.5k computer to last, there’s consumer law that will give some protection, can’t remember name. -
@FreakyZoid@paulcolls yep Sales of Good Act 1979 says a product must be fit for purpose up to around 5-6 years for electronics...
