Have I missed something? Not to go against the grain here, I don’t think the man was actually blaming his QA team. He was attempting to take ownership of their problems. Even asked people not to blame his team. That doesn’t exclude QA.

I agree. I interpreted the sentiment as upper management accepting fault not blaming QA, which I thought was a respectful move. My only concern is the amount of potential crunch required for the ongoing patches and hotfixes.

Yup agreed, I certainly believe there’s some shenanigans went on. I just hope management look at teams like Hello Games to see how you turn such a situation around. But goes without saying that QA are the goats.
