I stopped reading or contributing to Hacker News a decade or more ago. The people there aren’t worth it. They’re mostly pseudo-intellectuals in the tradition of Paul Graham - meaning they use big words, without actually knowing anything about the topic.
There used to be the occasional wonderful comment amongst all the trash. Haven't seen one in a few years though
