Seems like I should have given it more thought. I think, at least for me, I like the extra detail that in the original works, that isn't in the movies. So I tend to like the books more than the movies, but then, I am a detail person.

So far I'm happy that nobody has said Charlie and the Chocolate Factory or James and the Giant Peach are better than the books. I might have burn myself with cigarettes if I saw that.

Interesting how people's personal prejudices seem to impact their views. If they don't like people who cheat, they don't like the movie, etc. I never realized how much it impacts people's impressions of a book or a movie.
