if 40% of voters approve 6 Californias, & other 60% vote to stay w/ just 1, can we take weighted average – 3 Californias! – as a compromise?
@gojomo Has the nationwide vote difference ever been *that* close? Seems like it would reduce the risk of miscounts affecting the outcome.

@paulbaumgart & much easier to do a 'recount' in 1, 2, or even 5 states… but a close NPV election requires a full 50-state + DC recount, ugh -
@gojomo Strong argument for adding a run-off elections, to allow 3rd-parties more of a leg to stand on & counteract marginal voter effects.
