I'm going to tell you the truth. My dad was a UMWA miner. Cecil Roberts is crooked as a country road. He's not looking out for miners. I went to the Pittston strike as a child. The Union is a shadow of it's former self and it all happened under Roberts.
My grandfather worked 45 years in the coal mines. He was a paying UMWA member & died of black lung. I was told I was not allowed in UMWA union halls to speak to local members because the leadership endorsed a corrupt governor's daughter who is for Right to Work. Let that sink in.

Hard to believe that the Union that was one of the most militant has turned into this. Business Unionism destroyed the movement. We need militant leaders of our Unions.
