Sometimes it can be hard to understand why a rights owner has claimed your video, but that doesn’t mean they’re not authorized to do so. You can always dispute a content ID claim that you believe was made in error: https://goo.gl/fHCa7u

They’re not authorised, because the song comes from the YouTube audio library and is therefore copyright free. The song they are claiming is in the video is categorically not in the video. You should stop copyright trolls like this immediately. I abide by every rule.

I had a whole load of these recently. Very tiring &
@TeamYouTube were no help at all. I ended up filing dispute through TuneCore website/support and the relatively quickly dropped all disputes. Appears some artists have their music with several providers and it makes robots mad! -
That’s frustrating. I’m basically getting a spate of completely fraudulent ones.

Don’t YouTube do any checks before emailing you? Nice latest vid by the way..

No - they have “trusted partners” who can do this at a stroke. It’s blatantly fraudulent.

It’s totally appaling that Alphabet(YouTube) takes priority on copyright trolls rather than content creators.

I had a similar problem over on Facebook with a work account. It seems that with all these social/media sites you are guilty until burned at the stake and then posthumously pardoned as it takes an annoying amount of time to get sorted when I could be doing more important stuff.
