Real life Monty Hall problem. One of these breakfast tacos has steak. I want that one. I pick the far left. Wife tells me far right taco is black bean. I switch to the middle taco. I win steak.pic.twitter.com/LgUSwFdl3c

An important pre-requisite for the Monty Hall problem is that the host *always* reveals a door you didn’t choose and offers to let you switch. If you get rid of that condition, then the answer is different (no advantage/disadvantage to switching).
Yes, but would this scenario disqualify the advantage? The conditions seem (accidentally) similar. I grab one, I am exposed to another option which is certainly not the correct choice, and am left with the option of sticking with my original pick or changing.
No because if you had grabbed the one on the right your wife would have just told you that you were 100% wrong.
yeah, if i understand the description right, there's no advantage to switching. check out mackay http://www.inference.org.uk/itila/ 3.8 & 3.9 for a nice illustration of how little changes can erase the advantage
No, always switch when given the monte hall decision.
