its weird seeing what older movies considered being super in shape was or how the girls are usually more of a pretty face then sexy sexy like we almost didnt fully articulate a certain thing culturally yet it seems nicer somehow

like youll get either a handsome man with a girl who is very pretty but doesnt even have a hot bod at all, and the camera will ogle her naked body even tho its merely ok by todays standards or a top notch pretty woman with a dude who isnt like the manliest dude ever

its like peering into an entirely different market of a different time with entirely different prices all together and you can tell by the context the feel of it, but its still almost shocking somehow

its extra jarring to me because I cant help but feel I would do a lot better in a different context then my own and I feel cheated but I have no way to articulate what change if any from the past has actually occurred

its like on the one hand, dang dude/girl you could get a way hotter person cant you tell??? but on the other hand everyone just agreeing not to tell just seems so nice, it seems like a better deal overall

Which movies are you thinking of? Is this like Rear Window (regular dude Jimmy Stewart with Grace Kelly- and she sleeps with him without getting married!) Or Karate Kid era high school dynamics. Or even earlier- in 30s-40s movies women are super thirsty usually

Rule-reinforcing exception in Psycho, where Hitchcock shows us a physically well matched John Gavin-Janet Leigh couple to precipitate total f*cking disaster?
