Good thing the quote doesn’t say nontrivially similar then, no?
Two things can be different in real ways but the presence of one still “inevitably leads to the discovery of the other,” which is *actually* what the quote says. Nothing in the quote says “nontrivially similar” even by implication.
The philosophy professor’s actual quote implies it, which is what i focused on, perhaps tangentially but charitably, as the rest of the passage is fluff.
We’ll have to agree to disagree on all of that then. Especially the rest of the passage being fluff. Cheers.
