I’ll be deeply disappointed in my followers if this doesn’t get the result that roughly 80% are opposed to bad things, 20% in favor.

To connect the dots: “political correctness” means an objectionable form of behavior, by definition. So, asking whether political correctness is a problem is akin to asking whether objectionable behavior is a problem. Of course it is! Who is in favor of *objectionable* behavior?!

Not sure about this one... I've seen many people say they think political correctness is equivalent to politeness, and that it's a good thing.

Right, there are a few people trying to take back the term, but that’s a small movement and not anything that’s filtered down outside of elite circles. Likely to be higher educated, wealthier, etc. And they make that push recognizing that people widely use “pc” as pejorative.

It’s an inept rhetorical strategy, calling all normal people rude, when everyone knows people - even the very bigoted - usually try to be polite.

People sort of try, here and there, to be polite. Setting aside political correctness, I would not say: the one thing that is true of most people is they are very polite.

Most people try to make most interactions work - life would be very different if they didn’t

I can probably agree that +51% of people try to make +51% of interactions work.
