using fancy rhetoric to dress up flimsy arguments is far worse than just being a straightforward idiot because then people have to *decipher* your bullshit before they can refute it

a thing that used to happen to me a lot on reddit – someone would talk a confident, cocky, brazen game – abrasive, swaggy, full of bluster and bravado. I'd reply with some simple questions. then they get flustered and DELETE THEIR COMMENT I find this extremely... chickenshitty

on retrospect it was consistently true ~95% of the time that the hotter the air, the hastier the retreat. like maybe 5% of the time you get a true ragebeast. I respect *those* users – even when stupid – for being true. they eat their downvotes with honor. unlike the chickenshits
