many have asked Jack to change that. The problem isn't Jack, it's the way twitter is designed. It's following the logic of capitalism. As more data they collect, and as higher the clickrates are, as higher the moneyflow. That's why they don't ban Trump even if policy is violated

twitter is based on strict hieracies. It's a system of control, creating a asymmetry between the users and those in authority. We shouldn't have to ask Jack. If I don't want fascism, #sexism, racism.. I should be the once able to change it But twitter denies me this right

We could wait, and just hope if we continue to ask those in authority, it will change Or we can choose to take responsibilty using #directAction to self-organize our online communication Sounds very revolutionary huh? :-) If not we, who will does it for us? Ok here it comes:

creating inter-connected communities. Every community can self-define their culture through using a federated opensource Plattform. It's designed to take care of ourself and each other Everthing is done by volunteers who care And if we take care, who want's sexism? We don't :)

That sounds to good to be true? Indeat, where ever strangers meet, different cultures will find and discouver each other. The reaction can be different. But I know, if we build healthy communities based on mutual solidarity, we won't fight each other. but listen.

I've joined a federated social network a couple of month ago that seem to overcome the majority of problems that exists in todays social media....(sry loong thread I know. But I think it's important to understand the reasons, which also imply why twitter will stay what it is)

Here what it does, and why you should give it a try: - no advertisment - no tracking - no 'social' algorytms - no pay to gain higher reach - opensource - moderation tools that let you prevent harrasm and such - everyone can host an instance by themself, and connect to others ...

- content warning (you might not need it, but ppl that are traumatized should have the right to use social media without being triggerd...that indirectly also creates an enviorment where people start to be more aware on how their words impact others) ...

- join existing communities, based on themes, such as (queer, artists, scholar, progressives, coop creators, hacker, anticapitalists, comics, anarchists,....and many more) - build your own community - sharing the effort of running an instance

Remember on this plattform you aren't the product. People just share (give what you can, take/resieve what you need) Try to remember this and share as you can, so that the volunteers running the plattforms, don't run out of food and shelter ;-)
