Why should it cost more for 2 adults &child to travel into Manchester city centre on either bus or train from Levenshulme than it would to drive in a car? We are preventing further carbon emissions being added to illegal air pollution yet being financially penalised for doing so?

As says, 66% of Whitworth Street is currently closed for roadworks and yet the traffic still flows. Why don't we just... not re-open it to cars?

It funny when even your cycling friends that you bump into at the supermarket think you can't take the kids home with all that shopping on the bike. The manged easily with room to spare. Message for test ride

66% of Whitworth St closed for road works and traffic still flows. Time for planting and cycle ways. No need to consult as no effect on traffic!

Ha, this was *exactly* the same phrase the OMA PR used when he insisted I “wasn’t banned, just not invited” to their recent building openings 🤣

How can suddenly change their cheapest return fare from Mcr Piccadilly to Liverpool Lime Street (from around £6 to around £15) literally overnight if booking in advance? 0809 train for last 3 years has always been cheapest this has suddenly changed to 0823 now.

“As for the ‘fast track for beauty’, the report argues that developments that improve their local area should be able to make more speedy progress through the planning system.” Q: what development has ever said in its planning application that it will not improve the local area?

Sad to hear of the passing of William Mitchell. Out of his numerous great works in many places, I really like this one in Newton Heath, North Manchester,. 📸 from last year. – mjesto: Newton Heath

New build agents will tell you that a detached home will be worth £10k or £20k more than a semi-detached one, even when they’re only inches apart. So you end up with this.👇

Guess who’s back, back again... because parking on the road is too much for some. But seriously what is gained by doing this? The kerbside has no parking limitations and is an extra metre away? Meanwhile the pavement continues to be damaged

The biggest story of the climate crisis is WHY none of our governments are acting on it with the means at their disposal and the seriousness it requires. The question is WHY are they not acting? Is it a lack of solutions, uninformed politicians, or something else? A short 🧵. 1/
