Since a lot of people are asking, the actual ending of the film is Old Lady Rose walking up to the railing and dropping the necklace into the ocean, without anyone seeing. Both of these endings have her die in her sleep though

My thoughts exactly! That ending prob would've stripped noms for picture, director, editing, maybe score, and most tragically Gloria Stuart's supporting nom. Hell, omitting the scene is worthy of the editing Oscar! Hypothetical, that scene is in, what picture takes its place??
