I think you should be above using the word "elites".

Huh, why? I mean, it's a general term, but I think an accurate one.
-
Or at least spell it l33t....
-
I think only tech entrepreneurs should get to be called "3l33ts". But I like that, it should be the nouveau nom for the tech nouveau riche.

Interesting. Before 2000 trust largely followed economic trends, but since then the trend is steadily downward. Either trust uncoupled from economic well-being or the econ figures don't reflect how people are really doing (or both).

Research by
@JustinWolfers &@BetsyStevenson shows the business cycle has a moderate, significant correlation w/ trust decline: http://www.nber.org/papers/w16891

I want to know who trust the government. They are only in it for their own self interest and people make better decisions then someone else using someone else’s money to do so.

I wonder how much of the decline has to do with Luevano vs. Campbell (bureaucracy rather than elections).

Who are the "elites" exactly? Why is this data conflating the government with the president? Why do you feel it necessary to pre-defuse any right of center criticism with the "I'm no snowflake" comment?
