Might try this carnivore (meat only) diet. Anyone out there tried it? Thoughts? Fish and eggs ok or generally just red meat?https://twitter.com/joerogan/status/938965444177866754 …
It sounds fun for a bit, but for long term health you should eat lots of (non-grain) vegetables, and not too much protein. Protein sparing, like caloric restriction, is well-supported for life extension. But when you're young, go ahead and eat just meat and enjoy it.

“Non-grain”? I eat a big serving of steel-cut oatmeal daily (can’t find titanium-cut). Am I gonna die young?

Nowadays I prefer to make nutrition recommendations I have high confidence in, and there is enough compelling criticism of grains that I have much higher confidence in "eat vegetables" than "eat plants."

Also oats seem to have a lot less of the anti-nutrients etc than wheat beans brown rice and so on if I recall correctly
