I think there are a ton of weird implications from the trivial to fork nature of open-sourced crypto, that I haven't seen written up yet. It seems hard for founders to capture enduring value. Anyone can fork & redistribute all value allocated for past work.

Hah, not surprised! Happy to collaborate if you're interested. My basic thesis is that keeping future value (unsold tokens) for past work may turn out to be impossible, as such allocations are dominated by "let's fork and divvy up Satoshi's coins".
