You evoke jealousy in proportion to your accomplishments minus your humility. So if you wish to be great, first be humble. A thick skin may seem to substitute, but armor impairs growth, and will limit you if not shed.

Jealousy is a negative emotion, not one I want to engender. But maybe you mean admiration? (The formula works there too.)
Rephrase attempt: accomplishment - humility => jealousy. Accomplishment is good, jealousy is bad. So strengthen your humility along with your accomplishment to keep the bad side-effect low.
