Ok - believe it or not, I think we need a big annual *tech-focused* crypto event that centers around token protocol & ecosystem development. Devcon audience, somewhat exclusive, Consensus-length and quality, and no pay to play speakers. Maybe even no sponsors.
The tricky thing is how to define the test for membership in your club. People who have published working code? Teams that have testnets up? Etc. I agree that crypto conf with only ppl who actually understand it would be amazing. I'd consider having it be the only one I attend.
You could always stick to an invitation based system that follows the relationship networks, starting from the best people in crpyto that you and your friends know.
